Mattisson Organic MCT Oil is made from 100% Organic Coconut Oil and consists of 48% Caprylic Acid/C8 and 35% Capric Acid/C10. MCT stands for Medium-Chain Triglyceride and is a type of fatty acid. Medium-chain triglycerides, or MCTs, are the types of saturated fatty acids found in coconuts. Medium- Chain means the fatty acids have a medium chain. MCT oil provides energy quickly and is not stored as fat. This is why it is also used by athletes as a supplement. Unlike our other MCT oil blends, this organic variant still contains a small amount of Lauric Acid (C12). MCT oil has a neutral taste and can be used both hot and cold to replace other oils and fats.

Use and storage

MCT oil has a neutral taste and can be used cold or hot to replace other oils and fats. Heat to a maximum of 177 degrees Celsius. Any sediment is normal.

MCT fatty acids are converted by the body into molecules called ketones. In the Keto diet, these ketones (and thus the fats they come from) play an important role.

Organic MCT Oil is also ideal for athletes. These rapidly absorbable fats are beneficial as nutrients during workouts.
