Snow Fungus Mushroom: all about the Trilus mushroom

One of the most popular mushrooms today is the Snow Fungus mushroom. In China, people have been using this mushroom for centuries in medicine and Asian cuisine. The Snow Fungus mushroom was first mentioned in a 200 A.D. document.

Now in the West, we cannot ignore the positive properties of this fungus either. The scientific name for this particular mushroom is the Tremella fuciformis or, colloquially, the “vibrating fungus. In Japan they call it the “Shirokikurage” or “Hakumokuji” and in China the “Bai Mu Er.
