Black Pepper Ground Organic from The Blue House

Organic black pepper is ground from dried pepper berries. The unripe green berries turn a brown to black color when dried.

The pepper plant is a creeper that can grow up to 15 feet tall. It grows in the shade. The plant needs plenty of moisture, and a high temperature. The plant bears berries about 5 mm in size. The berries grow in clusters about 12 cm long, like currants. There are four types of peppercorns that come from this plant: black, white, green and red/reddish-brown. Spanish and pink pepper come from a different plant.
